What happens to a transparent PNG background?
JPG can't store transparency, so transparent areas become white. If you need to keep transparency, convert PNG to WebP instead.
Is JPG the same as JPEG?
Yes. JPG and JPEG are the same format — the shorter .jpg extension comes from older systems that allowed only three letters.
Will my image lose quality?
PixStrong saves JPG at high quality, so the difference is very hard to see. Sharp text and flat graphics may show slight softening, which is why logos are often best kept as PNG.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
