Tips for a good watermark

A small, semi-transparent watermark in a corner protects your work without distracting from it. 50–70% opacity and 15–25% of the image width work well for most photos.

For logos, use a PNG with a transparent background so only the logo itself appears on the photo. White logos with a soft shadow stay readable on both light and dark images.

The watermark is drawn last, after cropping and resizing, so it always keeps the size you chose relative to the final image.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my logo as a watermark?

Yes. Choose “Logo” and upload a PNG, JPG or WebP file. A PNG with a transparent background looks best.

Is my logo uploaded anywhere?

No. Your photo and your logo are both processed in your browser and never leave your device.

Can someone remove my watermark?

No watermark is impossible to remove, but a visible mark makes copying your photo much less attractive and shows who owns it. Placing it over an important part of the image makes it harder to crop out.

Can I crop or resize the photo too?

Yes. Use the Crop, Rotate and Resize tabs before downloading — everything is applied in one go and the watermark is added last.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. PixStrong processes your images directly in your browser. Your files never leave your device and we never see them.
